Layers Bakery in Subiaco WA is a well-established artisan bakery known for high quality pastries, breads and viennoiseries. As part of our expansion, we are seeking a qualified Baker and Tourier with a passion for artisan baking techniques and laminated dough.
Key Responsabilities:
- A strong understanding of sourdough baking
- Mix, scale, shape and bake various types of sourdough bread and viennoiseries
- Good understanding and experience with the fermentation process
- Prepare and laminate doughs for croissants, danishes and puff pastries
- Monitor proofing and baking processes to ensure product consistency
- Operate and maintain dough sheeters, deck ovens, rational ovens and other baking equipment
- Follow strict hygiene, food safety and cleanliness procedures
- Work as part of a small and skilled team in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to new product development and quality improvment
Skills & Experience:
- Certificate III in Baking (or overseas equivalent)
- At least 2 years of full time relevant experience in baking/pastry
- Proven experience as a tourier, working with laminated doughs
- Strong understanding of traditional baking methods
- Ability to work early mornings and weekends
- Attention to detail, passion for baking and reliability are essential
Work Location : Layers Bakery 10/29 Station street SUBIACO WA 6008 Full time position, Permanent, 38 hours per week (Tuesday – Saturday) Annual Salary: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 + superannuation Visa Sponsorship available Subclass 482
