Mackay Sugar Limited, established in 1988, is Australia’s second-largest sugar manufacturer, majority-owned by Nordzucker Group. Operating three mills (Racecourse, Marian, Farleigh) in Queensland’s Mackay region, it processes over 5 million tonnes of sugarcane annually to produce raw sugar (approx. 700,000 tonnes), molasses, and renewable energy from bagasse via cogeneration. It supplies raw sugar to domestic refineries (through a joint venture) and export markets.
